Since the spring of 2018, Holmes has been bringing his own camera on set to reveal what really<\/em> takes place in adult film production. The \u201cBehind The Porn Scenes\u201d series gives viewers an insider\u2019s perspective of what it\u2019s like being on film sets for PureTaboo, BurningAngel, Evil Angel, New Sensations, Facial Abuse, Mile High, Devil\u2019s Film, Teen Fidelity, Zero Tolerance and others.\u00a0

The videos feature adult personalities such as superstars Joanna Angel<\/a> and Angela White<\/a>, award-winning directors Jacky St. James<\/a> and Bree Mills<\/a>, performers Valentina Nappi<\/a>, Karma Rx<\/a>, Kate Kennedy<\/a>, Jasmine Jae<\/a>, Tori Avano<\/a>, Mackenzie Moss<\/a>, Alina Lopez<\/a>, Emily Willis<\/a>, London River<\/a>, Lola Fae<\/a>, Carolina Sweets<\/a>, Jade Nile<\/a>, Ariana Marie<\/a>, Gia Derza<\/a>, Lena Paul<\/a>, Ivy Lebelle<\/a>, Violet Monroe<\/a>, Amara Romani<\/a>, and many more.

Holmes claims he created his video series because \u201cI work a lot in America, but my family is in Europe. So, I play golf a lot, and I shoot these YouTube videos and edit them. It\u2019s fun.\u201d\u00a0

\u201cI like to talk about the art of pornography,\u201d Holmes says in the introductory video on his YouTube channel. \u201cI think pornography is art. And like any other art \u2014 like painting, sculptures, theatre, movies, music \u2014 there\u2019s better and worse; there\u2019s great and there is rubbish. But generally I think pornography is a great art form, it\u2019s probably the oldest.\u201d
Since July 22, Holmes has gained over one thousand new subscribers per day. The channel is currently approaching 32,000 subscribers, and \u201cat this rate, it won\u2019t be long until I will break 100,000 subscribers,\u201d Holmes predicts.

The Disbenefit of YouTube Success<\/strong>
Within six months of its launch, Holmes\u2019 YouTube channel<\/a> won entry to the YouTube Partner Program, which requires at least 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of watch time within 12 months.\u00a0
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However it was in May of this year that Holmes\u2019 channel received a serious spike in traffic, driven in part by increased attention in South and Southeast Asia. Holmes says that, according to analytics data, one of his then-one year old videos, \u201cBehind the Scenes with Daisy Stone\u201d<\/a> ( https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=jajhoa4iO4k<\/a> ) quickly accrued millions of views from women in India, where major porn sites have been blocked by the government under orders from the Uttarakhand High Court.

Other highly-viewed vids include \u201cJade Nile\u2019s First Gangbang\u201d<\/a> ( https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Bti_5H5mmLo<\/a> ), \u201cEliza Ibarra for New Sensations\u201d<\/a> ( https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=j_29xAE79LY<\/a> ) and \u201cGia Derza for Teen Fidelity\u201d<\/a> ( https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=jKMN2hcsums<\/a> ).

However, Holmes reports that after \u201creviewing\u201d his channel\u2019s exponential growth, on June 3 YouTube notified him that \u201ca significant portion\u201d of his channel was \u201cnot in line with [its] YouTube Partner Program policies<\/a>\u201d, and that, his channel would no longer be eligible to monetize.\u00a0<\/strong>
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Holmes estimates that with his level of viewership, he could easily have earned 10 to 15 thousand dollars from YouTube monetization. \u201cI wouldn\u2019t have said no if they\u2019d sent me a check, but that was never my intention when I started the channel.\u201d

Holmes is pleased to report that his traffic has remained at a high level, as evinced by his recent video, \u201cBehind the Scenes with Vienna Rose for Teen Fidelity\u201d<\/a> ( https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=NfsQYr5nqko<\/a> ) netting 50,000 views within its first two weeks.\u00a0

Fantasy and reality<\/strong>
Holmes, 58, began his performing career in Europe in 1996. His stage name was suggested by a reporter \u201cbecause I was really skinny, and tall, with a big dick, and he said I reminded him of John Holmes,\u201d Holmes said. A veteran of well over 2500 scenes, Holmes has been living and working in Los Angeles and Budapest since 2002. In 2015 he began producing and directing for Kink.com<\/a>\u2019s Public Disgrace<\/a> website.
