Lopez wrote the provocative and cathartic storyline from a true-life experience, and delivers a powerful performance as Alicia, a church-going good girl who is carrying guilt – namely, losing her virginity to her boyfriend – and her congregation\u2019s Bishop (Dick Chibbles) can\u2019t help but notice when Lopez passes on partaking in the sacrament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bishop has a really good plan to relieve Alicia\u2019s burden, and confronts her alone for a private consultation: \u201cyou have such a beautiful temple,\u201d he says. \u201cAs a priest\u2026 it is my right to enter that temple\u2026\u201d Alicia nods: \u201cYes\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Lopez, \u201cThis was the most personal project I\u2019ve done in my career; I\u2019ve had this idea for so long and I\u2019m so thankful to Bree for giving me a platform to execute it. This scene is based on a true story about my experience growing up Mormon, and it\u2019s time for the world to see all the fucked-up occurrences that happen in the church behind closed doors.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
