The (in)famous actress, model, performer, cosplayer, content creator and author of best-selling celebrity\u00a0memoir<\/a>\u00a0Rated X: How Porn Liberated Me from Hollywood<\/em>\u00a0offered her hosts an earful about her stunning transition from fresh-faced teen queen to sultry sex symbol and adult film superstar, and how her life, relationships and perspective have changed over the years as a result.<\/p>\n

Ward spoke to Romano about her path to adult entertainment through cosplaying (\u201cIt was all for me; I was in charge of the brand, I was in charge of what was going out there\u201d), women directing and producing adult content (\u201cthey know the buttons to push for a straight male\u201d) and feeling comfortable on set (\u201cI go in and choose who I am going to work with, what scripts I\u2019m going to do, and so I very much have control over the kind of content that I want to put out, so I\u2019m fortunate.\u201d)<\/p>\n

She also told Fox and Takesh about her formative years (\u201cI grew up in a very normal home, I was a very good girl\u2026 I felt it was always expected of me\u201d), claiming her sexuality as a content creator (\u201cI found that I was an exhibitionist!\u201d) and the surprisingly supportive response she received from friends, family and former co-workers after launching her adult film career in 2019:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a positive experience overall. I cannot tell you how many people who have come up to me from my past\u2026 who have said, \u2018We\u2019re so proud of you\u2019\u2026 [and] I did have a great conversation with the producer from Boy Meets World; he said he was proud of me, and he told me something that I really think is important\u2026 \u2018Don\u2019t separate mainstream acting from porn acting; I see you, you\u2019re an actress. That is who you are\u2019\u2026 and I really appreciate that.\u201d<\/p>\n
