Adult film legend Steve Holmes, XBIZ\u2019s 2018\/2019 Foreign Male Performer of the Year, has been nominated for three new awards by the adult industry media giant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Holmes learned of the nominations after being presented with the Legacy Award at the RISE Dinner and Awards Gala in Hollywood on Nov. 20th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI was totally taken by surprise,\u201d said Holmes. \u201cI had no idea they gave out any awards that night. I wasn\u2019t even paying that close attention to what was being said on the stage because I was surrounded by beautiful women and the dinner was excellent. But I was very happy that my old friend Manuel Ferrara handed it to me, so that made it super special.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy friends ask me, especially my friends in Germany, \u2018what is a legacy award\u2019, and I say, \u2018I guess it\u2019s for being old\u2019 [laughs]\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

XBIZ has nominated Holmes for Best Actor – Taboo Themed Release for his role in director-star Dana Vespoli\u2019s \u201cMinistry of Evil\u201d; Best Sex Scene \u2014 Taboo-Themed Release for his scene with Vespoli, Julia Ann and Victoria Voxxx in the same movie; and Best Sex Scene \u2014 Gonzo for his performance with the inimitable Jane Wilde in \u201cSlut Puppies 14\u201d from Jules Jordan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seasoned with theological references and blasphemous imagery, \u201cMinistry Of Evil \u201c is set in a monastic order where people need to have their faith restored, and explores twisted kinks that religion inspires but nonetheless forbids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assisted by nuns Julia Ann and Dana Vespoli, Father Steve uses sexually corrective practices to cure raven-haired beauty Victoria Voxxx of demonic possession in the XBIZ-nominated sex scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding his clerical role, Holmes recalled, \u201cI\u2019ve played so many priests and protestant ministers; a Roman Catholic cardinal. . . . I even once played a rabbi, even though I was the only person in the scene with an uncircumcised dick!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI know Dana Vespoli from the very beginning of her career,\u201d he added. \u201cWe did our first scene for Anabolic, where I was beating her with a dead fish, and at the end her body was covered in fish scales. I love working for her because she is super-creative and such a lovely person.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The feeling is mutual, Vespoli said: \u201cHe always brings something unique and special to every performance\u2014he can be hilarious or sinister and of course he\u2019s a huge pervert who is down for anything. Bless his heart! And he\u2019s so kind and generous. He\u2019s just a great guy who can run circles around male talent in this business who are half his age.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding the nomination for his gape-filled Christmas-themed scene with Jane Wilde in \u201cSlut Puppies 14\u201d, Holmes said, \u201cThat was a fun scene. Jane is so lovely; I loved shooting with her and it shows.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wilde commented, \u201dThis scene with Steve Holmes was my first time working with him and one of my favorite scenes ever. It’s an absolute classic.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steve Holmes, 58, began his performing career in Europe in 1996. His stage name was suggested by a reporter \u201cbecause I was really skinny, and tall, with a big dick, and he said I reminded him of John Holmes,\u201d Holmes said. A veteran of well over 2500 scenes, Holmes has been living and working in Los Angeles and Budapest since 2002. In 2015 he began producing and directing for Kink.com<\/a>\u2019s Public Disgrace<\/a> website. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
