Chicago – Karla Lane, the award winning plus sized performer, has earned one of the most coveted honors in the adult industry with her induction to this year’s AVN Hall of Fame. Karla, who was previously honored by AVN with the 2016 BBW Performer of the Year and the 2019 Niche Performer of the Year awards, has been in the industry for an amazing 15 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While making a name for herself during the last decade and a half, \nKarla has been a pioneer of the body positive movement within the \nmainstream adult industry. Karla’s hard work and determination serves as\n an example that success is within reach, and her drive for inclusivity \nhas continued to make strides in the business, opening the door for plus\n sized performers, both new and experienced. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I\u2019m so honored to have been chosen for the 2020 AVN Hall of Fame,” \ncommented Karla after learning about her induction. “When I first \nstarted 15 years ago, I never would have imagined this day would come. \nTo see so much diversity recognized throughout the industry across the \nyears brings me great joy. This is a huge milestone and I look forward \nto the next 15 years.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Karla’s peers in the industry are over the moon about her induction \ninto the Hall of Fame, and they couldn’t wait to let Karla know how \nproud they are of her achievements. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Angela White, who worked with Karla in her breakthrough performance \nin “The Weight of Infidelity” commented, “Congratulations on your Hall \nof Fame induction Karla! Your positivity and professionalism are a gift \nto this industry.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Industry veteran and longtime friend, Julia Ann, expressed her \ncongratulations, saying, “Congratulations and thank you for being such a\n shining light in both the industry and my life. You are loved and \ncherished my friend.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am so happy that Karla has been inducted into the AVN Hall of \nFame!” stated April Flores, a longtime friend and trailblazer. “This \nhonor is the cherry on top of an already illustrious career. I know that\n she still has more to share with her fans and the industry as a whole \nand I know it will be fantastic!\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mark Schecter, proprietor of ATMLA, the agency that represents Karla \nsaid, “I\u2019ve watched Karla grow in the industry as a performer and so \nproud and happy to represent her with my agency.  She\u2019s definitely \nearned the honor of receiving the AVN Hall of Fame recognition. I look \nforward to her continued success.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lastly, Karla’s partner, Mo Reese, wanted Karla to know how proud he \nis of all her achievements. He commented, “Karla is my partner, my best \nfriend, and one of the most amazing, positive women I\u2019ve ever known. I \nam so proud of her for having a career in the adult industry that has \nlasted 15 years.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The AVN Hall of Fame Class of 2020 will be officially inducted at the\n 2020 AVN Awards Show, which takes place January 25. And they\u2019ll also be\n celebrated at the kickoff event to the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo \n(AEE), which will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las \nVegas a week from today (January 21), the night before AEE begins. The \nWelcome Industry Cocktail Party begins at 9 p.m. at Goose Island in the \nmain casino area, and is open to all trade attendees of AEE and the AVN \nNovelty Expo. Drink tickets are available from AVN staffers.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
