Chicago – Siri Dahl, one of the adult industry’s most popular and respected entertainers, has joined the Board of Directors to newly-formed non-profit Victim Advocacy Project (VAP).
In her new role, Dahl will work to raise the profile of the company and its advocacy objectives to assist victims of crime and survivors of traumatic violence by locating therapists, attorneys and support groups.
“Especially in our culture’s increasingly sex-worker-hostile environment, the services VAP provide to all victims are essential,” said Dahl. “I am so thrilled to be on the Board of the VAP and help pursue our mission in a way that doesn’t judge or stigmatize victims who also happen to be sex workers.”
VAP also aims to ease the burden of difficult personal recovery by securing funds to help victims receive proper treatment, medications, counseling appointments and security systems at no cost to them.
