Chicago — What does the rope you’re using for bondage say about you? Quite a lot actually.

Anne Bryne, Founder and Owner of The Dungeon Store, recently penned an article for Xbiz.com about rope for bondage, going into detail on the types of rope available for retailers and the advantages and disadvantages between ropes.

“I love rope!” Bryne begins. “Rope bondage has been described as gateway kink. Many love experimenting with bondage and sex without playing with pain… Every pleasure product shop should have some rope for bondage available, and should consider rope bondage classes to bring in more customers.”

Bryne discusses the typical ropes found bondage ranging from the bedroom to popular fetish photography shoots and goes into detail about braided cotton, synthetic materials, hemp and jute.

She points out, “While a lot of latex and fetish gear can be prohibitively expensive for curious fetishists, rope is an inexpensive alternative that turns heads. There are a number of easy-to- learn decorative rope harnesses that look great over a bodysuit.”
