NY Giants @ Washington…both teams failed to impress week one. Take the home team. Washington
New England @ NY Jets…rookie QBs. Both cute…go with the better coach. New England
New Orleans @ Carolina…I like anyone that beats Aaron Rogers. New Orleans
Kansas City @ Baltimore…did Baltimore play yet? Nope! Kansas City
Detroit Lions @ Green Bay. Aaron Rogers sucks! I know this won’t happen but I am taking a flyer! Detroit wins on the road!

Sean’s picks….Linzee Ryder’s photo

Week One Record: 10 – 6 Season Record: 10 – 6

Thursday:

NY Giants @ Washington – Ryan Fitzpatrick is done for the year so Washington will rely on Taylor Heinicke to guide the offense for the foreseeable future. The Giants need more consistent play from Daniel Jones although Saquon Barkley looks like he’s in mid-season form. Washington 24 Giants 20

Sunday:

New England @ NY Jets – A battle of rookie quarterbacks as Mac Jones leads the Patriots into New York to battle Zach Wilson and the Jets. Both rookies struggled in their opening games, but both showed flashes. I’ll go with the Patriots because of better coaching and better overall team talent. Patriots 31 Jets 24

Denver @ Jacksonville – I picked Jacksonville last week buying into the fact that Houston was an offseason mess and Trevor Lawrence came into the game with all the well-deserved hype. Watching the game, I soon realized he is still a rookie. The Broncos on the other hand started Teddy Bridgewater as they defeated the Giants 27 – 13. The Broncos aren’t flashy but with good defense and a running attack they’ll win their share in a killer AFC West. Broncos 27 Jaguars 24

Buffalo @ Miami – The Bills Super Bowl hype was tampered a bit as Pittsburgh came in and beat the hometown heroes. Miami went to New England and defeated the Pats 17 – 16. All the stats point to a Bills win, but it may be closer than Buffalo fans would like. Bills 31 Dolphins 27

San Francisco @ Philadelphia – The second week in a row the West Coast 49ers are playing an early game on the East Coast. The Eagles crushed ATL last week. A solid defense and more weapons on offense should be enough for the 49ers to win a close game. 49ers 30 Eagles 24

Los Angeles Rams @ Indianapolis – The Seahawks beat the Colts by 12 last week and it wasn’t even that close. The Rams had little trouble taking care of the Bears Sunday Night. Expect the same results this week. Rams 38 Colts 24

Las Vegas @ Pittsburgh – The Raiders won an exciting OT game last Monday against the Ravens while the Steelers won a slugfest in Buffalo. Expect another low scoring brawl this weekend. Steelers 24 Raiders 20

Cincinnati @ Chicago – No matter how bad the offense was, Bears fans could always rely on a strong defense. No so much this year as the Rams hung 34 on a defense that at times looked like they had no clue what the Rams were running. The Bengals are not close to being world beaters themselves, but the did pull out an OT home opening win against the Vikings. Bengals 27 Bears 24

Houston @ Cleveland – After all the offseason turmoil in Houston, I was surprised they would field a team let alone play pretty good against Jacksonville. Don’t get me wrong, they still suck, just not as bad as expected. Cleveland on the other hand should have won in KC last week if their punter didn’t drop a snap and then do his best impression of Garo Yepremian. The Browns should crush the Texans. Browns 34 Texans 20

New Orleans @ Carolina – The Saints stoned the Packers last while the Panthers played well enough to beat the Jets by 5 points. Jameis Winston had a great game and if he continues should be an early candidate for MVP. The Saints defense just overpowered the Packers. Saints 34 Panthers 27

Minnesota @ Arizona – The Cardinals were the biggest surprise in Week One rocking the Titans on the road 38 – 13 while the Vikings lost to Cincinnati in OT.  It could be a long day for the Vikings in the Valley of the Sun. Cardinals 31 Vikings 20

Atlanta @ Tampa – Understatement of the year…ATL has room for improvement after losing at home 32 – 6 to the Eagles. Tampa struggled a little on defense against Dallas to kick off the season but should be able to deal with the Falcons. Tom Brady can pick how many TD passes he wants this week. Buccaneers 34 ATL 20

Tennessee @ Seattle – The Titans are a great rushing team but that does no good when your defense can’t stop the pass. Seattle looked solid as they dismantled the Colts on the road. Seahawks 34 Titans 24

Dallas @ Los Angeles Chargers – Dallas played well and probably should have beaten Tampa had it not be for their kicker’s horrible performance. The Chargers hung on to win in Washington 20 -16. The Chargers should win this game in a close battle. Chargers 27 Dallas 24

Sunday Night:

Kansas City @ Baltimore: Tale of two teams. The Chiefs are #1 is passing and the Ravens are #1 in rushing. The Chiefs are #1 in overall offense, but the Ravens have a solid defense, minus that Raiders wide-open overtime TD pass to win it Monday night. Chiefs 27 Ravens 20

Monday Night:

Detroit @ Green Bay: After that crushing defeat in Jacksonville many expect the Packers to bounce back in a big way. The Packers should win the game, but it may be closer than the Packers fans had hoped for. Packers 34 Lions 27
