Carolina @ Houston – The Panthers are off to a 2 – 0 start albeit over the Jets and an injury plagued Saints team. They catch another break this week against a Texans team starting rookie QB Davis Mills. Carolina 27 Texans 10
Sunday:
Indianapolis @ Tennessee – The winless Colts head to Tennessee with Carson Wentz sporting two sprained ankles. If he can’t go the Colts will rely on Jacob Eason to lead the team. The Titans come into this came 1 -1 with an overtime win at Seattle. The Titans will rely on Derrick Henry to bury the Colts. Titans 31 Colts 20
Atlanta @ NY Giants – This game is a tuff one to predict. It’s like which pile of crap smells better. If Atlanta brings the fire they showed in Tampa and if the Giants eliminate the stupid mistakes that showed in Washington…Atlanta 31 Giants 27
Los Angeles Chargers @ Kansas City – Penalties killed the Chargers last week against the Cowboys while the Ravens running attack buried the Chiefs defense. The Chiefs rebound with a close win over the Chargers. Chiefs 38 Chargers 27
Cincinnati @ Pittsburgh – Three INTs by Joe Burrow sunk any hopes of a comeback win by the Bengals against the Bears Sunday. The Steelers will have to rely on its defense while the offense tries to figure a few things out. If the Bengals can keep Burrow clean, they have a chance at a win. Steelers 24 Bengals 20
Chicago @ Cleveland – The Bears are proving against this year that they are bum-slayers. They beat the garbage teams but have no chance against a balanced attack. Welcome to Cleveland! This game probably shouldn’t be close no matter who starts at QB for the Bears. The Browns are just more talented on both sides of the ball. Browns 34 Bears 24
Baltimore @ Detroit – Give the Lions credit, they gave the Packers a battle for at least the first half of Sunday Night’s game. The Ravens finally broke the jinx named the Chiefs with a one point win Monday Night. Ravens 27 Lions 24
New Orleans @ New England – Injuries, Covid, blowout loss to Carolina and your stadium catches fire. What else could go wrong for the Saints? Oh, New England looks solid with a rookie QB leading the team. Patriots 27 Saints 24
Arizona @ Jacksonville – The Cardinals are quietly building a contender for the NFC West this year. Trevor Lawrence is having rookie growing pains while Urban Meyer is checking real estate listings in Los Angeles. Cardinals 34 Jaguars 17
Washington @ Buffalo – Taylor Heinicke led Washington to a 30 – 29 win over the Giants last Thursday. He faces a Bills team that destroyed the Dolphins last week. Bills 34 Washington 20
NY Jets @ Denver – Teddy Bridgewater and the 2 – 0 Broncos play host to Zach Wilson and the Jets. The Broncos offense improved from Week One to Week Two which is bad news for the Jets this week. Better days are ahead for the Jets, it just wouldn’t be this Sunday. Broncos 24 Jets 17
Miami @ Las Vegas – With wins over Baltimore and Pittsburgh, the Raiders play host to Miami which lost to Buffalo 35 – 0. The Dolphins will probably be without QB Tua Tagovailoa because of a rib injury. This game could get ugly for the fish. Raiders 34 Miami 17
Seattle @ Minnesota – Seattle let one slip away last Sunday when they blew a 14-point lead late to the Titans which beat them in OT. Nothing has come easy for the Vikings who could easily be 2 – 0 instead of 0 – 2. Seattle 34 Minnesota 31
Tampa @ LA Rams – Special teams almost cost the Rams the game against Indy last weekend along with periods of inconsistent offense. The Rams will have to hope the defense can slow TB12 and the Bucs long enough for their offense to make some plays against a Tampa defense that let ATL back into the game last Sunday. Sunday Night:
Green Bay @ San Francisco – The 49ers are 2 – 0 but Jimmy Garoppolo and the offense struggled against the Eagles at times in their victory. The Packers offense finally showed itself in the second half of the Lions game after being MIA for the first game and a half of the season. The Packers defense also showed some life in the second half of the Detroit game as well. Packers 31 49ers 24
Monday Night:
Philadelphia @ Dallas – Dallas played well against the Chargers last week while the Eagles lost to the 49ers. This game shouldn’t be close, but Dallas will find some way to keep it that way. Dallas 30 Philadelphia 24
