Chicago – Knowing how to creators get discovered is really important for sex workers and the Athena Stats team has created a system to highlight how platforms are faring. Beginning with the platform that started it all for independent creators, Clips4Sale, the Athena team dissected the relevant features that help content get discovered by consumers and rated them.

“Creators are constantly asking me how to get their content ranked. We painstakingly went through every platform and looked at it through a consumer lens. How do customers buy content and how do they find creators? Knowing this helps creators position themselves.” Says Amberly Rothfield, co-founder of Athena Stats, along with John Luna of Sex Positive Me Podcast.

The scores consist of five key areas: Top Lists, Consumer Searches, Categories/Tags, Creator Spotlights and if the site suggest content to consumers based on views/purchases. Bonus points are given to sites that help creators find other avenues to get out in front of fans (just as Clips4Sale does!). Clips4Sale walks away with a solid score of 4.5 out of 5 total stars possible, setting a high standard.

The project isn’t just slated to help models decide where and how to place their content on sites but also to give platforms an idea for how to help content get discovered. To discover more, check out the full post an AthenaStats.com.
