Chicago — Mexican trans superstar Jessy Dubai will be hosting an Instagram Live tomorrow at 12noon MT/11am PT/2pm ET from her home in Denver to discuss the dangers of silicone injections and her upcoming removal surgery.
“When I was young and growing up to become the woman I am today, I made some choices, some good and some bad. I made decisions that I knew were risky and could have consequences down the line, but I didn’t care,” says Jessy. “Because I was so determined to make my dreams come true, to be a gorgeous woman and be accepted and loved, I didn’t think of the future, I didn’t think I had a future based on the statistics of the mortality rate of trans women, especially women of color.”
“Today I am starting to feel the effects of injecting silicone shots in my body to enhance my figure. That decision leads me to making yet another decision that will change my future. I have decided to go under surgery to remove the substance that was injected in my body. I am scared to death because I know that after the surgery my body will look different and I will have the scars as a reminder of the mistakes that I made, for not caring about myself and putting my life in danger. But today I do know my worth and I love myself and the life I’ve made for myself. I enjoy my family, my successes and look forward to achieving more goals. It’s time to take the poison out of my body before it’s too late to do anything about it.”
“I have decided to do an Instagram Live on Friday at noon mountain time to share my story, explain my situation and talk about my decision to keep everyone that cares about me informed, to speak to other women, trans or cis about the dangers of these procedures and to save at least one life.”
