The award-winning rising star, who was raised in a conservative religious environment, says the authenticity of the scene hit home for her
Chicago — Leana Lovings delivers a delicate, resonant, and unforgettable dramatic performance in “Grand Gesture,” the new episode of True Lesbian, the award-winning erotic series from Bree Mills and Adult Time.
Directed by Anatomik Media, “Grand Gesture” stars Lovings and Gizelle Blanco in a romantic and sensual portrayal of a young lesbian couple that contemplates attending a school prom.
Brooklyn (Lovings) has invited her girlfriend, Ashley (Blanco), to be her date at her school’s prom tonight. The prom at Ashley’s school didn’t allow same-sex couples, so Ashley is excited that now she can attend one with her girlfriend. Brooklyn, however, is anxious since this will be her coming out.
Noticing Brooklyn’s stress, Ashley assures her that they don’t HAVE to go together if she’s worried about coming out to her school. Though Brooklyn IS nervous, she also wants to help Ashley live out her dream of going to prom.
Brooklyn explains that she would feel bad for chickening out, since coming out is an important moment for her. But Ashley points out that there’s no shame in delaying Brooklyn’s coming out until she’s ready, and Brooklyn ultimately agrees. But rather than go to prom alone, Brooklyn chooses to not attend at all, opting to make love to Ashley instead.
Lovings was awed by the poignant script’s parallels to her own life. “I had no expectations of how deep this scene would hit me,” said Lovings. “It felt like a love letter to the me that grew up in a conservative school, with no knowledge of my sexual identity. Working in porn has helped me feel so many things, but this scene confronted the thing I never knew I needed at 18: acceptance.
“Adult Time, Bree Mills, and the crew are always so supportive, and Gizelle Blanco was, of course, the perfect partner,” Lovings added.
Erotic anthology series True Lesbian is inspired by real-life sexual experiences between women, and dedicated to creating erotic stories about lesbian sex that are rooted in positive representation and authenticity. The result is respectful, uplifting, meaningful and cinematic entertainment for both traditional and queer audiences.
