Steelers over Titans: Another NFL season another year where Mike Tomlin puts together a winning season. Will Levi looked good last week but I think going on the road against the Steelers is a different beast than at home against Atlanta.

Chiefs over Dolphins: The NFL has made a concerted effort to send better teams to Europe in the past few years. Germany is getting a special one, this game should be all about the offenses. But I think the Chiefs defense is what decides this game. Give me the Chiefs in a close one.

Eagles over Cowboys: Two of the best teams in the NFC, and heated rivals, means this game is a playoff preview. I really feel like this game could go either way and will be decided on who keeps better care of the ball. This will be the toughest test for the Eagles, but they have found ways to win this season and I think that trend continues.

Bills over Bengals: The NFL sure is treating us to some amazing games this week. I also see this game going either way. I think this game will be decided by which defense can slow down the other offense more. Even then, it might come down to who has the ball last. Give me Josh Allen and the Bills to get it done on the road.

Chargers over Jets: This game is going to be a defensive battle. The Jets defense is an elite group, the Chargers defense is also elite, at least on paper. I think that game will be decided by which offense can put together more scoring drives. Give me Justin Herbert and the Chargers to do just that.

Week 8 Record: 12 -4
Season Record: 73 – 49

Sean’s PVM Picks…

Thursday Night

Tennessee @ Pittsburgh – Kenny Pickett says he’ll play after suffering a rib injury in Sunday’s loss against the Jags. The Titans are coming off a win led by rookie QB Will Levis. It’ll be a struggle, but the Steelers pull out an ugly win. Steelers 20 Titans 17

Sunday

Miami @ Kansas City (Frankfurt Germany) – Another stupid overseas game for the NFL. This game should be on Sunday Night or Monday Night, not the early morning hours. Okay, the game…Miami plays spectacularly until they play equal or better competition. The Chiefs are coming off a horrid loss to the Broncos on Sunday. If the Dolphins want to be taken seriously for Super Bowl contention, they must start winning these kinds of games. Chiefs 31 Dolphins 27

Minnesota @ Atlanta – Kirk Cousins’ season is over after an Achilles injury in the Vikings win over the Packers. The Falcons also have key injuries on their defensive line. Vikings 24 Falcons 20

Seattle @ Baltimore – It seems Seattle has quietly landed in first place in the NFC West winning four of their last five games. The Ravens sit atop the AFC North at 6 – 2 and should be able to pull out a close game against the Seahawks. Baltimore 27 Seahawks 24

Arizona @ Cleveland – The Cardinals have been playing better but they just can’t close the deal. The Browns need these wins to keep their playoff hopes alive. Browns 30 Cardinals 24

Los Angeles Rams @ Green Bay – The Rams have lost 2 in a row, while the Packers are on a four-game skid. Matthew Stafford is dealing with a thumb injury while the Packers’ Jordan Love is making too many mistakes. Mistakes can be corrected; thumb injuries will take more time. Packers 27 Rams 17

Tampa @ Houston – After a 3-1 start, Tampa has lost three straight games. They need more consistency (points) from their offense. Houston’s offense hasn’t played well recently as well. Tampa 24 Houston 20

Washington @ New England – It appears the Commanders traded away their best players on defense at the trade deadline which doesn’t bode well for the future of Ron Rivera and the coaching staff. The Patriots are back to stinking up the joint, so maybe they should sell tickets to this game at half-price. Patriots 30 Commanders 24

Chicago @ New Orleans – The Bears picked up Montez Sweat from Washington to boost a tepid pass rush. However, Tyson Bagent struggled in his second start against the Chargers Sunday Night. The Saints offense finally showed up last week, but their run defense continued to struggle. Saints 31 Bears 20

Indianapolis @ Carolina – The Panthers won their first game of the season last week. I’m sure current Panthers coach Frank Reich would love to stick it his former team this week. The Colts are on a three-game losing streak. This game has a lot of intrigue. Carolina 20 Colts 17

NY Giants @ Las Vegas – Vegas fired their head coach and GM this week which was well overdue. The Giants should take inspiration from the Raiders and do the same. Raiders 34 Giants 24

Dallas @ Philadelphia – The press is pumping up the Cowboys, so you realize what that means? Yeah, an Eagles blowout. Eagles 34 Cowboys 23

Sunday Night Football

Buffalo @ Cincinnati – The NFL loves storylines, don’t they? Damar Hamlin returns to the same field where he suffered a cardiac arrest. Well, at least we will not have to see Taylor Swift every five seconds. The Bengals have won their last 3 games including a solid win against the sinking 49ers. The Bills are 5 – 3 but can’t win against equal or better competition. Bengals 31 Bills 27

Monday Night Football

Los Angeles Chargers @ New York Jets – Who needs Aaron Rodgers, the Jets are on a 3-game winning streak. The Chargers have played too inconsistent so far this season. Chargers 30 Jets 24
