Chicago – Multi-award-winning prolific director Jim Powers has 20 AVN Awards nominations as a director and for his scenes and series.

Last week, the 2024 AVN Awards nominations were announced, and Jim Powers made the impressive list 20 times as a director and for his scenes and series. Jim’s biggest nomination is for Best Directing Portfolio – Mixed, a new nomination for directors like him who direct for multiple studios and produce content in various genres. Another big score for Jim was the Mark Stone Award for Outstanding Comedy for Zero Tolerance’s “Let’s Bang the Babysitter 8.”

As for his scene work, Jim received a Best Gangbang Scene nom for DFXtra’s “Aliya Brynn,” Best Blowbang Scene nom for DFXtra’s “Chanel Camryn,” Best Tag-Team Sex Scene nom for Devil’s Film’s
“Fucking the Neighbors 5,” Best Three-Way Sex Scene for Devil’s Film’s “We Love Us More Than You” on the Dare We Share 2 DVD, Best Trans Group Sex Scene for Gender X Films’ “Date & Switch” Devil’s “Lesbians Love Trans – Scene 1”, and Devils’ Trans Sandwich (And I’m the Meat!) 2 – Scene 1,” and Best Trans One-on-One Sex Scene nom for Gender X Films’ “TNT 4 – Scene 2” and Gender X Films’ “Trans Am – Scene 4.”

Jim also did really well with noms for his series, including Best Female Mixed-Age Movie or Limited Series for Devil’s Film’s “Wanna Fuck My Student? Gotta Fuck Me First!,” Best Anal Movie or Limited Series for Devil’s “Don’t Tell My Parents I Assfucked the Babysitter 2,” Best Anthology Series or Channel for Devil’s “Kiss Me/Fuck Me,” Best Trans Movie or Limited Series for Devil’s Lesbian Love Trans’ “It’s a Trans Sandwich (And I’m the Meat!) 2,” and Best Trans Series or Channel Gender X Films’ “Trans Honey Trap, and Best Taboo Relations Movie or Limited Series for Devil’s “My Wife’s Teen Girl Is an Exhibitionist.”

“As usual, it’s been a hectic year, and we had a lot of great work to submit for consideration. I’m grateful that AVN gave me a director nod and so many nominations for my scenes and series,” says Jim Powers.
