Chicago – Holly Randall opens up to XBIZ World as the Woman of the Month in the February issue’s ‘Women in Film’ feature profile, marking her considerable industry achievements as a photographer, filmmaker and media personality of more than 25 years.

The article, “Holly Randall on Elevating Her Family’s Legacy,” explores Holly’s journey under the tutelage of her trailblazing mother (and 2024 XBIZ Pioneer Award winner) Suze Randall, a woman who broke the mold for women in adult 50 years ago as a trailblazing photographer and director. Holly lays bare her stunning success behind the camera – as well as the microphone, as host of the wildly popular Holly Randall Unfiltered podcast.

Randall says, “Today there are a lot of female directors and photographers in the industry – not as many as there should be, but definitely many more than before. When my mom started, she was the only one, and she was surrounded by powerful men who were constantly trying to push her out of the way, to belittle her capabilities… and she succeeded. Now she’s legendary… it’s just insane how much things have changed.”

Fresh off winning XBIZ’s ‘Featurette of the Year’ for “Hopeless,” starring Casey Calvert and Lumi Ray, Randall is also pouring her creativity into a new photography book and tech startup JOI while also prioritizing her family and learning the art of saying no. “I have to be careful with the things I give my time to – which sometimes is hard because I hate saying no to people… but I’ve been forced to learn to set boundaries very strongly, and I’m definitely more and more comfortable with it.”
